We are always on the lookout for colorful, chunky and unique necklaces. Scouring Etsy for just this, we came accross these little doozies from Emily Burter of Philidephia, USA.
These mixed bead necklaces feature hand made polymer beads, antique glass beads, metal beads and wooden beads.

giving back
Especially at this time of year, after family Christmas gatherings, New Year celebrations and momentous occasions, our cameras will most certainly be clogged with photos of loved ones, holidays and experiences that we would hate to lose and that can't often be replaced, as this picture that was posted on the website demonstrates.
I found your camera is a site that allows camera finders to attempt to reunite the owner with their treasured pictures once more.
Our photos don't really mean much to anyone but ourselves, so it's so nice to see that there are people out there who are looking out for others. Great Karma.

living gifts
Check out this great site we found that deliver really affordable, environmentally friendly tree and plant gifts across Australia. We love their range of living gift ideas which include fragrant lavender chalk boxes, herb rustic gift boxes, luscious lemon tree tea hampers, and even succulent zen bowls. You can order from their lovely range online and have it delivered to your special someone, generally within a couple of business days.
We used Growing Gifts recently to mark a friends 30th birthday milestone and she just loved it. It's a unique gift idea and is so easily purchased, as Growing Gifts take online payments, and carefully package and courier your gift to many destinations around the country.
It's a surefire hit that any friend or family member are sure to love. Not just that, but you are also showing care and conservation towards our planet by giving a living gift that continues to grow.

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea
If you're in Melbourne, check out the free pre-screening of
Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, a documentary which tells the stories
of how an asylum seekers path can lead them to becoming a 'boat person'. It includes interviews with many refugees, secret camera footage & gives
refugees a chance to voice, in their own words, the circumstances that push
them down their given path.
The film-makers of this film are chasing an ambitious goal
to be able to take their film on the road to screen in 30 venues across Australia
and the only way they can do this is if they raise $60,000 by 1pm this Saturday
27th October - that's less than 50 hours away! So if you'd like to see this
story shared across Australia please support them via their crowdfunding campaign which you can find by clicking here.
Free pre-screening:
Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea
5.30pm TODAY
12 Claremont St, South Yarra
(donations for beer or cider)
If you can’t attend, you may get a chance to view this
documentary when they hit the road – but only if we all give generously!
